Then start to blow up the top part of head. This can be made with liquify tool, but I choose to make selection with lasso tool and then scale to make it bigger, then transform (perspective) at lower part to fit the head.....shown on picture...
step 3 of 13
Same for the eyes,,select with lasso, make em bigger(scale), transform (rotate)..
step 4 of 13
Now I had to work on low part of head.. I shaped with liquify..I wouldn' t go through all proces, arrows shows where and how the strokes were made.
step 5 of 13
Then I just fill the eyeballs with white color (on separate layer) and after that just use burn tool to make darker areas.
step 6 of 13
Now ,because eyes were enlarged, rough edges were visible around them, so patch tool do the job to smooth transition.
step 7 of 13
At this stage I decided to shape the jaw little more, so then again liquify as shown on image.
step 8 of 13
Now, I draw those shapes on forehead with pen tool, cut that shape from slug and place them on head. After that bevel/emboss added on both (right one is without effect, just for comparison)
step 9 of 13
Now I duplicate this layer (model, alien), draw nostrils with pen, make selection and cut. Then effect was added on that layer as shown on image. Note: contour checked, nothing changed.
step 10 of 13
Adding those details was tricky part so I' ll show image as I did them, but different settings works on different works. Marked area shows where lines were drown with brush.
Note: fill opacity 0%, want to use just effects they give.
Additional dodge/burn can be done.
step 11 of 13
Same for this part. Also: fill opacity 0%.
step 12 of 13
When all that was done ,just simple placing, masking, transforming those pulps. And dodge/burn of course.
step 13 of 13
Draw the nostrils with pen, fill black, place alien on some background and that's all.. :)
