step 1 of 8

Created from body parts of the ant.
I used invert to make the blue back sections of the creature and painted on it with clipping layers to make it fit in.
All the blue parts are source inverted.

step 2 of 8

The head of the tail was made from a square of the ants body. I drew with pen some lines that i inverted - applied ocean ripple and warped them.

Creation of Stingerlisks' Colony : Step 2

step 3 of 8

Same thing for the whole tail, only this time ripple effect - is more organic. Or was it the other way around... damn. They are both nice effects anyways.
I applied shade/light, and used more layers to create the whole twirling tail.

step 5 of 8

Calculating perspective, randomize trees, apply sand and water( sky) from Cgtextures. Adjusts with vanishing point, some overlaying clipping layers.
& Calculating the shadows.

Would this be creepy or what ?

Creation of Stingerlisks' Colony : Step 6

step 7 of 8

Warped creatures and spreaded them on the map. Applied shade/shadow cast / light to blend them better.
Used clipping of hues for desaturation and depht of field.

Creation of Stingerlisks' Colony : Step 7
