This guide was made for entry:
The Chocolate Goblin
In Contest:
mixed
step 1 of 11
Just wanted to have fun with metaballs and a chocolate texture. So I began with a sphere for a head and a pair of eyes.
step 2 of 11
The gradient texture for the eye.
step 3 of 11
The build-up of the head with metaballs.
step 4 of 11
Body was built up in the same way, just by adding metaballs.
step 5 of 11
The basic body form.
step 6 of 11
The body was tweaked and refined.
step 7 of 11
A detail of the teeth and their texture.
step 8 of 11
Rounded cubes were tapered and deformed for the chocolate squares.
step 9 of 11
The goblin was placed on a chocolate square and given a liquid metaball environment to simulate molten chocolate in a vat.
step 10 of 11
The scene under development.
step 11 of 11
The textures were a little tricky. For the goblin's skin, shown here, I tried to create a look of chocolate melded with flesh.
