Shapes from source are duplicated, gold part is used to create tail shapes, using rotate and scale tools . From the red shape, bird head and body are shaped with liquify warp tool.

Tail section is merged, and wings are created from smaller duplicates of tail sections. Head feathers are 'pulled' and shaped with smudge tool.

Rusty metal pattern is added for background, then cloud filter added. Branch is shaped from a section of the blue wood at the top of the source photo. Eraser tool helps to shape it, then burn tool shapes it additionally.

Petal shape is cut from the lavendar section of 'ribbon' in the sculpture, then shaped further with the eraser tool. Rotate and scale tools are used in forming the duplicated petals.
