Mouse is chopped, then duplicated, layering the duplications for top of rocket. Mouse eyes are lassoed and then duplicated and scaled to layer into bottom part of the rocket. These eye shapes will also become the planets.
step 2 of 6
Liquify warp tool begins the smoke trail design, then brush tools are used to soften edges and create bottom 'curling' feature.
step 3 of 6
Many different color changes are being tried after adding the dark blue background. But I don't want it to look too real - but more Drivenslush-ish with lots of color.
step 4 of 6
Planets are being scaled into different sizes, and a glass cover is fashioned for over the mouse using brush and eraser tools.
step 5 of 6
I've settled on a reddish background with difference clouds added. Here many small stars are also added with several very small brush circles. Some are hard edged and some are with airbrush.
step 6 of 6
A gray gradient layer is added with opacity brought down to 75% to allow stars to show through. Rocket is kept as front layer.
