Mask a second layer of just the front of the bowl to sit atop the gazing ball

Choose a chunk of grass from the original birdbath image to create a transition

Duplicate the grass section 3 times, merge all to create one new layer. Adjust perspective. Duplicate layer after resizing. Apply Gaussian blur to top layer, then mask to transition depth of blur

Drop in second scene in general area to create reflection for gazing ball

Liquify using "bloat" tool to create the sphere shape

Using "marble" shape as a guide, trim the bloated park scene to size.

Add extra shine with "fuzzball" brush and white paint on separate layer. On another layer on top, add a sparkle.

Duplicate top edge of front of birdbath/stand with pen tool. Warp to create reflection.

Again using the "marble" as the guide, trim the reflection, turn down opacity.

Brought marble and gradient map layers to top, turned down opacity.
Added layers of shadow and adjustment layers for hue and saturation, and experimented with blending modes along the way.
Blurred all edges of objects to blend into scene.

Wanted to refine the reflection to include some of the immediate rock edge below the stand. Cur lower portion of "birdbath" image and pasted into main image.

Soft erased harsh grass line to blend. Using "marble" shape as guide, trim away rest of the excess.
