Lassoed parts of gate are formed into parts of bird using liquify warp, smudge and eraser tools. . Body will be formed from cornucopia part of gate.

Wings from duplications are merged to head and neck.

Liquify warp tool has pulled the wings into more feather-like shapes here. Burn tool is used to accentuate the shapes.

Tail is formed with duplicates from part of gate, scaling and rotating to fit where needed.

Breast of bird is added using part of cornucopia shape from gate, and using the smudge tool to blend.

Head feathers are now added, and feet from gate parts. and a second wing is made by lassoing the first wing with magnetic lasso, duplicating it, scaling it smaller, then moving to layer behind first wing. All parts of bird are now merged.

A new colored layer is added behid the bird.

Golden source gate is now chopped to be added at bottom of image.

Castle images are added, scaled small, desaturated and moved to layer behind the gate.

Star source layer is added and reduced in opacity to 33%. Darker parts are softly erased.

Swirls from yucca source are added in another layer, reducing opacity to just allow swirls to show.
