Source is duplicated, then duplication is flipped and blended into original source image by using a soft eraser tool. The two images will then be merged.
step 6 of 11
The doorway going inside the building is added, then all erased except for the doorway and ground surface. Inside rooms and doors will be darkened using burn tool.
step 7 of 11
Cloning tool has been used on bricks and across top of door; cloning and smudge tools blend the bottom of building and ground surface after merging doorway to building. Shadows are added with burn tool.
step 8 of 11
Doorway image on the right is added, then scaled down to fit the image. Railing will be extended with clone tool, and ivy will be extended over building using clone tool as well.
step 9 of 11
The white door is removed with eraser tool, then the old door is chopped and put on layer behind the ivy and steps. The distort tool is used to change the angle of the door. Burn tool darkens part of the door.
step 10 of 11
Finally, a chimney is added using clone tool and brush tool, and the doves are chopped from their source photo, some scaled smaller, some flipped horizontally before placement. burn tool shadows parts away from light source. Some have gaussian blur, others have motion blur added since they are definitely 'in motion'.
