Gradient layer. Painted some colour over the gradient. Set layer on Overlay Blend mode 75% opacity. See next step for image after gradient layer was added.

Enhanced colours with Levels Adjustment layers. Added shadows to stairway and stair ledge.

Lightened interior of window with Level Adjustment layer using Layer mask. Layer mask shown here. NOTE: Levels layer was set on Screen Blend mode (no other levels adjustments made). Opacity was set at 90%.

Image after window was lightened. I was careful not to lighten the edge that would be in shadow (although some light would bounce of the other window edge so it would not be completely dark).

Sharpened Image and decided to remove wire at top of building.

Flipped clouds/sky image to get correct lighting. Added an Adjustment layer to brighten sky.

To create Grain layer
1. Create a new layer - Alt+Click on Page symbol at bottom of layers palette.
2. Name layer "Grain" and Select Soft Light Blend mode. Tick box “Fill with Soft-light ...(50% Gray)
3. Filter>Noise>Add Noise> Gaussian
4. Set opacity to desired strength - I used 95%
