Difference cloud is used to bring forth more detail in source.
step 2 of 13
Mosaic filter is added here.
step 3 of 13
Polar coordinate used to create oval shape with design made from the dill image.
step 4 of 13
Dill image is color changed, background is now dark, so is placed on a new canvas painted dark blue. Stem is created using wacom tablet and pen.
step 5 of 13
Oval shaped container is placed on new canvas, and duplicating of source image dill is started.
step 6 of 13
I needed full flowering images for next to container, so created them using a small section lassoed from source, then by duplicating and rotating these sections formed the new flower head, then drew in some little stems with pen tool.
step 7 of 13
By taking one dill seed from source, duplicating, sizing, and rotating it, some foliage is created. Shape of this foliage will be changed using liquify warp as well as distort tool.
step 8 of 13
Foliage has been added by duplicating, rotating and scaling some more. It is layered in between and behind flower head layers.
step 9 of 13
Container seems to look better in a color which harmonized with the arrangemet, so is changed here.
step 10 of 13
Soft browns have been brushed into background, and soft images cloned in from the flowers.
step 11 of 13
A pattern rusty layer has been added and moved to layer behind the arrangement. Some of black background is softly erased at bottom to show rusty layer, then a single brush with liquify warp creates a soft fold-like look at bottom. Final dodge and burning bring up highlights and deepen shadow areas.
step 12 of 13
Butterfly is created here from one of the dill seeds.
step 13 of 13
Butterflies have been scaled down and added, then all layers are merged and yellow filter added over all.
