A Work in Progress: Clubbing Sketch

Started creating the background. Filled with purple then used a Radial Gradient in grey and white at 85% opacity.

Next I used Filter>Render>Cloud Effects on various layers.

I masked out the two models and positioned them so that they looked like they were holding hands.

I merged the layers then used Lighting Effects to begin creating the club scene.

I then painted some more lights on various layers and different opacities. Colors used were white, orange and red.

I then placed another layer of the models over the top at 85% opacity so that they were not overdone with the lighting effects.

Next I added little stars of varying sizes and colors.

added two layers of omni lighting behind the models.

Next was to add some Lens Flare.

I then added a dark gradient at the base of the image and enhance the overall colors to make the image pop more.

Next was to convert it to a sketch. I learned this technique a while back from a random tutorial which I can't remember.
The steps were:
1- Desaturate image.
2- Duplicate layer.
3- Invert layer.
4- Change blending mode to color dodge.
5- Filter>Other>Minimum.
6- Adjust using Levels and Curves.

Added the original image at 25% opacity to give it minimal color.
