I started by reshaping the tiger's head using warp and liquify. I brightened the eyes and used the clone tool to do some additional shaping. The clone stutter came in handy this time, adding to the texture of the "fur".
step 2 of 9
More work with liquify and the clone tool for the front paws.
step 3 of 9
Same as before, this time for the back, belly and rear paw.
step 4 of 9
I borrowed a piece from the back for the tail.
step 5 of 9
What's a tiger without his stripes? I used burn to make the stripes, but changed it later.
step 6 of 9
General placement of the objects. I used distort on the carpet and painted in the wall. I changed that later, too. I couldn't find any ear buds that I liked, so I painted them in, using the pen tool and inner shadow and inner glow.
step 7 of 9
I wasn't happy with the burned stripes, so I borrowed a couple of stripes from the tiger and, using warp, clone and smudge, put better stripes on him.
step 8 of 9
I didn't think the disc I found looked right, so after using distort to change the shape, I made a copy of part of it, reduced the opacity and placed the copies. After I merged everything, I made another copy and greatly increased the brightness, placed it under the original and gave the disc an edge.
step 9 of 9
I thought this might be a girl's room, so I gave it a pink wall, using paint, the craquelure filter and blur. I created shadows by using paint and brightness/contrast filter layers. A little more shadow work and a few tweeks and I am finished.
Great technique used, the tiger transform is super.
