First vase is formed from crayon shape using the liquify warp tool.

First vase put on a new canvas. Color will be changed later as needed to contrast to other colors and background.

Another vase is created, also using the liquify warp tool. Bloat tool is used on top bubble and also at top of vase under the lid.

Pear shape is created with liquify warp tool also, then moved with other shapes on the new canvas.

Red vase is lengthened, also using liquify warp, ready for background to be added.

Background is created using the source crayon image, with stained glass filter and a gradient layer over that. Canvas size has also been elongated a little to make room for the branch and butterflies which will be added. Burn tool will be used now to begin shadow patterns where needed.

Background has been changed using image/adjust/curves tool. Tallest vase is changed to green for good contrast against background. Middle sized vase is now in blues and a branch is drawn with brush tool. This branch will have various filters (noise, crosshatch, craquel) to get interesting textures. Burn tool shadows left sides which are away from the light.

Butterflies are created from a source photo with gradient layer over. They are sizes to several sizes, and color changed w hue/sat tool. The rotate tool turns them in different directions.

The butterflies are added now in various sizes (use scale tool) and in different directions (rotate tool).
