A Work in Progress: Family Vacation

step 1 of 7

place fish above base balloon after reducing opacity
puppet warp it to general size
using pen tool draw in guidelines..and fill stroke
using light brush rough in a dodge layer and then a new burn layer

step 2 of 7

add in the horizontal texture lines for one guideline... duplicate..hue saturate adjustment to brighten shift above to give them some depth then merge
take duplicate for each guideline and transform warp into place

step 3 of 7

place oval at base
smudge to fit burn.and dodge
used pen tool and stroke fill to complete guidelines
add in fishbowl
outlined and added color layers to move to more of blue shade .. kept rocks and eye separate
added some fish

step 4 of 7

made 3 duplicates of background outlined and filled with content aware to remove basket 2nd layer masked third..used a color selection to remove red from engine...kept some ropes
then dragged layers back to main picture

step 5 of 7

put engine in place
puppet warped front ropes into place from balloon to engine ..grouped duplicated and adjustment layer to darken the moved slightly to imitate back ropes.
attached front ropes with puppet warp to fishbowl duplicated and did back ropes

step 6 of 7

increased resolution and bicubic enlargement to get background layer similar size ,,moved to main project ..resized.. then cropped .. merged visible ...
masked and used grey paint to allow see through on fish bowl glass

step 7 of 7

moved tail and masked to get better color
dodge and burn to match photo light source
cleaned up and smudged fish edges and bowel edges.. and fish
added light flare on bowel.. refined edge on mask
