I first duplicated the layer with the original source
and started to use the patchtool to select areas I wanted to
reconstruct and used the nicer cleaner parts of the mask to
patch with. At my image here u can see an example of spots that I used to reconstruct with the patch tool.
step 2 of 8
I used the circle selection tool to select the top shiny part between the eyebrows. I copy pasted it and flipped it. then I turned it somewhat and merged it down. I again fixed the edges arround it with the patchtool so It wouldnt look copy pasted on.
step 3 of 8
I redid this part to show that I did it myself the way I said I did it. This is not a part of my entry its a redo just to show. Here i selected the shiny part that Im going to use to cover up the bottom where its damaged.
step 4 of 8
As U can see I have duplicated the selected area from step 3. I flipped it and moved it to the excact spot i wanted it.
step 5 of 8
I used the clean area to patch the selection with the pathtool to cover up the copy paste edges.
step 6 of 8
As you can see from the result here the edge inside the selection is almost completely covered.
step 7 of 8
Here I used the patchtool a few more times to cover up the edge with the clean area. As U can see that one sides edge is nicely gone
step 8 of 8
Using the patchtool I cleaned up the whole damaged part there, using parts with as little as dirt on it as possible.. I keept on patching untill I was satisfied with the result.
Again please note this is just a small reconstruction of how I reconstructed the mask. I had to redo this small part because I had no step by step to show anything.
