step 3 of 12

Place the hair on her head.

Scale to size and use the deform and warp tools to get a better fit.

At this point I made my canvas larger at the top to incorporate the room needed for her hair.

Blend the hair to the face using the clone tool and layer masks.

Next, use the smudge tool with a variety of different brushes to pull out her hair into spikes. Use different but small sizes. Also use the darken option to make some realistic strands.

step 4 of 12

Create a new layer and use the brush tool to add some color to the hair.

Use different and small brushes and smudge along the way of the hair. Choose different opacities, darkness and even soft light.

Use the smudge and erase tool with the same kinds of brushes to further shape the hair into the desired result.

Use the smudge deform and clone tools to make the back hand fit the guitar better.

Add a layer for shadows on the back hand where she is holding the guitar.

step 11 of 12

Place the tattoos on her one at a time.

Change the exposure values for the tattoos and set the fill mode around 80%, whatever makes it look more blended into the skin.

For the large tattoo, I used a rough pastels filter with sandstone, to make it look a little less plastic.

step 12 of 12

For the makeup , add a layer and use a soft brush.

Use a separate layer for each makeup. To blend them, use the erase, smudge and blur tool.

All that's left is to add the background and smooth out edges.
