Rooftop area is lassoed, then liquify bloat tool used to change shape. this will be developed into nun's headpiece.

Liquify warp, smudge tools used to form nuns habit, legs, and shoes.

Face is brushed in and detailed. Dodge and burn tools will add highlights and shadows.

Further work is done with smudge, brush and eraser tools to complete hat. Dodge and burn will add highlights and shadows where needed.

Hands have been added using brush tools, then figure is moved into a new canvas. Source rooftop is added at the bottom and sized to fit.

Background Italian scene is added and moved to layer behind the rooftops and figure.

Some cloning has been done to the sky to fill in at the top, and all the wires and excess poles, etc. are being cloned out of the scene.

Glasses have been added to nun, and poster edge filter has been used on the background rooftop and buildings after merging them into single layer. This filter was used to take away the realistic photo look to better match the fact that the nun (and birds later) are not looking photographic, but brush created.

Birds have been added, and motion blur added. Nun has been duplicated, then motion blur added to the duplicated image. Some light airbrushing has been done over background buildings to soften them.
