In order for the butterfly to look like it was trying to fly off before it was finished, a shadow was necessary under the wing on the right. A drop shadow effect didn't work because I didn't want the shadow to occur under the "sketched" part, so I duplicated the layer and blurred it, desaturated it, and lowered its opacity, gave it some transformation - shifting it around somewhat...

and gave it a shadow too - just copied the same shadow that was applied to the other pencils, and it's all done.
