step 1 of 8
Wings were created by lofting a polygon between two curves. The wings were then modified and shaped using vertices.

Proboscus created by extruding a cylinder along a curve.

The eye casing was created by creating a Soccerball shape. This shape was then extruded to create the ridges.
step 4 of 8
The cog is a 20 sided cylinder. The outer spikes were created using an extrude with an X scale of 0.
It was then shaped with extrude and faces were deleted to create holes.

The pulley is a extruded cylinder. The belt is a deformed pipe and the cog is a 20 sided cylinder that has been extruded.
step 6 of 8
The body of the butterfly is 2 deformed spheres put together. Following this the tail rings are toruses and the rods are cylinders.

The leg and antennae bases are spheres with a extruded cap.
step 8 of 8
The eyes are a sphere and a polygon shaped base.
