take original photo and make a new image the same exact size and resolution, place side by side
step 2 of 14
to make your grid ( I make my own ) put up the ruler guide and mark off where you want . you can make any size you wish the larger the square the harder it is to copy, also to small and the lines and detail can get confusing. depending on the amount of detail in each square.
step 3 of 14
your grid should look like this when done, lines even in each image.
step 4 of 14
You are ready to start your copy. You can blow up the area you are working on for a better look.the hair in my work was the most detailed and hardest to copy.
You can be very close but it is very hard to be exact in small details. ( I wasn't. )
step 5 of 14
Now the job is to copy each square as you work down, or up if you prefer. but going the same way is almost a must to stay on course.
step 6 of 14
working down and yes I am off in some spots but only slightly, I will try to correct when I do the blending.
step 7 of 14
fairly close , and now to start the shading.
step 8 of 14
Iam leaving the grid up and using the lines in my blendin, this way I can still have a good idea as to where the shading should be.
step 9 of 14
After you have the shading as close as you want or can achive, it is time to start smoothing and adjusting the value of the work, I used ONLY the smudge tool for all blending
step 10 of 14
working the image and adding more shading and blending
step 11 of 14
same , more shading and blending
step 12 of 14
adjusted sharpness and contrast also went all around the image with eraser to get rid of any unwanted overflow.
step 13 of 14
working down ,cleaning up the lines and smoothing the shading out
step 14 of 14
after , I have it all smoothed and good as I can get it, I slightly sharpen and darken to bring out the edge lines and tone of the body shading. done.
