I sketched out a prototype which is completely different than the finished version. However it gave me a guide to follow.

I drew basic shapes to clean up the prototype a bit.

I then got rid of the sketch and changed the legs.

I used the burn tool here too create some shadows

I added a windshield here and used the burn tool on the "twister" knob.

I added a spot for lights here.

Then I added a white circle inside the black one and gave it an inner glow and outer glow.

In this step I added a driver of the vehicle.

I began to put the vehicle into an environment.

I cut out everything but the sand and added the second environment.

I used the duplicate tool to paint in the sand.

I added some highlights here to the vehical and the sand. I also added a second vehicle and gave it some blur.
