circle marquee for start of grid shape

rounded rectangle added to circle, then the two were merged.

warped combined shape, then used pen tool with stroke to make grid lines.

added some scattered 'stars'.

put the two vehicles together and warped the car. retouched where the railing was, including removing the wheel.

masked the car and sub.

selected and distorted the former wheel area.
step 9 of 10
adjusted the noise mask. ended up with a blurred layer both behind and in front of vehicles, and an additional noise layer in front, partially masked.
step 10 of 10
three layers for a 'window' - a background 'interior wall', the frame itself, and an interior 'glass' portion.
