A Work in Progress: Wanna Fight!!?

OK this is my first tutorial ever! lol, so please be understanding.
Ok so when i did the drawing i didn't know i had to show how i did it by making a step by step, so in this tutorial i will be doing a different picture... the following is the the end result

Ok so i usually start out by drawing the neck and the beginning of what should be your character's face...

Afterwards I would continue by starting the upper body section. Make sure you pay attention to where folds or creases may be...

Now finish of the shirt and start the pants/skirt or what ever you are drawing lol

Start to add the arms and legs extending from underneath the clothing...

Finish off the legs by drawing in some shoes(i suck at shoes btw :D).....

After that i decided the jump back up to the head to finish it off. You can choose what to finish of first yourself. It's just that i decided to go at it this way for some reason...
Well when i usually continue by drawing in the hair outline on the face first and then close it in....

In this step i placed a sword in the character's right hand and afterwards added some face detail

Now we will take the plain old drawing and add some extra style.....by extra style i mean adding things to the clothing and elsewhere to make the picture look more fresh. for example: pockets

Then i just darkened the lines...

Ok its time to work on the line shading part ( this part is dependent on where your light source is coming from )...

So i just made a series of parallel lines at a good angle, making sure to follow my lighting plan...

The final step is to just basically create a higher sense of dept it you picture...
what i mean is to make the heavier shadowed areas look,.......well....more heavily shadowed lol
this can be done by just simply putting more pressure on your stroke, OR by just making more parallel lines but at a different angle...
