I drew the outline sketch in pencil. I used a very dark pencil here to photograph better. In the original, I used a very hard pencil to make a very faint line.

I began by outlining one fruit in dots. I then did some shading and shaped with the dots. In the original, it is all done with a sharpie extra fine; this sbs version is done with sharpie fine. I would work on one fruit for a while, shift over and work on a connecting fruit until all were at least outlined and partly shaded. Then I went back in and detailed here and there where it seemed to need it.
