This guide was made for entry:
Sunset!
In Contest:
solitary tree
Original image
step 1 of 14
First step is to add a new layer, make it black and white.
Then use the high pass filter to fit your needs. And then choose Overlay as blending option.
step 2 of 14
Second step for this image, was to recreate the right hand side of the image. And than particually the edge of the grass.
I did not like it to go downwards.
So i copy a little part from the lefthand side, and moved it to the right.
step 3 of 14
Collored the overall.
step 4 of 14
Starting with the clouds.
step 5 of 14
Adding cloud structure.
step 6 of 14
Part one of the lightning on the grass.
step 7 of 14
Part 2 of the lightning on the grass.
step 8 of 14
Adding an overlayed layer with a twirled effect.
step 9 of 14
The sun!
step 10 of 14
Placing the tree, wich i cutout from the original image.
step 11 of 14
Changed colors slightly and a added a little more light.
step 12 of 14
More light, and more darkness.
Stucture on the side of the image.
( ill explain the trick between the difference in color in last step )
step 13 of 14
Added light over the field.
step 14 of 14
The main thing, and difference in the lightning wich i used:
Most of this image, has to do with light.
Therefor most of the image was created in L A B mode.
Using this mode blending light/colors will give different results.
I have not used L A B mode for the step by step, and saved this information to the last step, just for those that like to read the whole thing.
