Pattern is taken from closeup of door panel and will be used for ceiling and back wall.
step 5 of 11
Door handle is cloned out, then door is duplicated, sections merged together, then shape is changed using scale, distort, and perspective tools to fit side walls, and for floor. Same image is used later for floor inside the throne room.
step 6 of 11
Side walls are added here after changing shape made from door. The grid is very helpful in placing the shapes evenly.
step 7 of 11
Ceiling and floor are added now, and wall color is tried in a different color. It will eventually be darkened with color adjustment tools.
step 8 of 11
Doors have been added after completing the bottom portion of the door which was missing in source photo. Section is completed by lassoing the part that is there, duplicating and flipping vertically. Cloning then smooths colors and shapes where needed. One door has been opened using the perspective tool.
step 9 of 11
Lamps are being added here. One side of lamp had to be lassoed and perspective changed to match perspective of the wall panels. A render omni light will be placed above each lamp where wall would be lit up. Smoke will be added later using soft brush tool in a light gray tone.
step 10 of 11
Throne scene has been scaled to fit on layer behind the doors, and another rug added like entry rug. Statue has been chopped and perspective changed enough to fit beside rug. Some brush work needed to be done on base to make it fit even better. Later noise and scratches will be added to finish off the statue. It is dupllicated and flipped horizontally to fit other side of rug. Lamps are duplicated and scaled to sizes to fit at end of statue as well as by the throne.
step 11 of 11
Finally, dodge and burn tools are used where additional highlights may be needed or where shadows areas need to be darkened. Soft brush tool adds the smoke coming from the burners.
