Sections of the source have been chopped here to be used for image creation and are moved onto a new canvas in 10 x 15 size.
step 2 of 8
Large shape is duplicated, flipped, then merged. This merged shape is then duplicated again, then using the scale tool the two are shaped for the upper and lower parts of the flying ship. The 'propeller' shape is cut in half then duplicated, flipped and merged .
step 3 of 8
Filter/brush/crosshatch tool is used on all three shapes to create interesting pattern. Small connector section is added between propeller and ship.
step 4 of 8
For the color change, the filter/render/difference clouds tool is used. I loved the colors it brought out, so will only add highlights and shadows later and maybe bring up the blues a little.
step 5 of 8
The colors have been brightened here, and ropes are started using the hard brush tool at a narrow setting. I chose the gold/brown tones to pick up sunset colors later on.
step 6 of 8
More ropes have been added here and image is almost ready for sky background to be added.
step 7 of 8
Here is the beautiful sky background photo.
step 8 of 8
Flags are added at top of flying ship and will have text added to identify this as a 'PS' photoshopping ship. Finally, a golden filter is added at 50% and blue is brought up a little. Final highlights and shadows are made using dodge and burn tools.
