placed first flowers into the image, and used the clone brush to extend the stems to the ground.
step 2 of 9
duplicated the flours and transformed them slightly to make them look different form the original.
step 3 of 9
continued duplicating and flipping the flowers until i had an entire line. Added some dodge and burn to create the lighting and shadows for the individual flowers. left a space in the center where i would be inserting the bear.
step 4 of 9
Duplicated my row of flowers, and placed the new layer behind the first layer. did this about 8 more times, each time slightly shrinking the flowers, flipping and creating the illusion of them gradually going into the distance. each additional layer of flowers got more blur and darkness added to it, to create depth.
step 5 of 9
cut out bear, easy on the white background.
step 6 of 9
placed bear in the flowers. placed it behind my first layer of flowers, then used the masking tool to cut out part of the flowers to make it look as if the bear is stepping between them.
step 7 of 9
added shading to the bear to help match the colors in the photo and to add shadow form the flowers.
step 8 of 9
finished by adding in a lens flare because of the high level of light in the image. it also helps bring the separate images together a little better. also added a light layer of vignette with some blurred lens grain.
