step 1 of 8
Cut out the butterfly. Deleted the right wing. Duplicated the left wing and replaced it for right wing.
step 2 of 8
Ctrl-click on right wing, make layer msk of it. Filled with black. With several splatter brushes painted the wing back in.
step 3 of 8
On new layer with splatter brushes created some extra dust.
step 4 of 8
With smoke brushes i painted in some smoke
step 5 of 8
Inserted a light beam to make it the dust and smoke come out more.
step 6 of 8
With burn hole brush, created a burned effedt around smoke on wing
step 7 of 8
Added some extra smoke up near the light source
step 8 of 8
Added in a background and gave some perspective to the butterfly
