step 1 of 11

The wall and windows: oil tanks and a plane under a boole do the trick.

Creation of Beams: Step 1

step 2 of 11

Added a cloth nurbs and a built in wall texture.

Creation of Beams: Step 2

step 3 of 11

Window frames: Made a copy of the boole object and made it editable. I cut away everything except for the inside of the windows.

Creation of Beams: Step 3

step 4 of 11

1. Scaled the frame up.
2. Extruded the frame to get a "real frame".
3. Extruded outside.
4. Bent the last outline to the back inside the wall.

Creation of Beams: Step 4

step 5 of 11

Wall with the three copies of the frames.

Creation of Beams: Step 5

step 6 of 11

Added a built in wood texture and a floor with another built in wood texture.

Creation of Beams: Step 6

step 7 of 11

Three planes were added to be the glass.

Creation of Beams: Step 7

step 8 of 11

Designed three slightly different motifs in Illustrator and exported them to become the "stained glass".

Creation of Beams: Step 8

step 9 of 11

The glass texture:
Transparency texture with the motif, reflection, bump with a b/w version of the design and some noise to make it interesting.

Creation of Beams: Step 9

step 10 of 11

Super wide angle for the camera, specified shutter speed and ISO, depth of field etc.

Creation of Beams: Step 10

step 11 of 11

To make it more interesting I added two simple mirrors. they are basically two cubes - one with a built in wood texture, one with reflection and some noise as "dirt" over it.
A parallel spot with volumetric visible light does the trick. Some noise and the right angle will make a beautiful scene with sun beams falling into the room.
