Separated floors by adding geometry with knife tool.
step 5 of 15
Selected and moved points to increase height of windows on all floors.
step 6 of 15
Used smooth shift and move tool to add new geometry and alter shape of the front of the building.
step 7 of 15
Stretched floors to make them stick out from the rest of the building/windows.
step 8 of 15
Merged polygons at the front of the building that will become windows later.
step 9 of 15
Increased the height of the bottom floor which will become the entrance.
step 10 of 15
Gave surface names to polygons to be used later when the model is imported into Vue.
step 11 of 15
Duplicated the building with the mirror tool.
step 12 of 15
Connected the two structures at the middle and bottom.
step 13 of 15
Modeled additional items to be used for the front door, external lighting, flag pole and/or warning light and/or antenna, etc.
step 14 of 15
Imported model into Vue, split the model into the individual surface names and applied or deselected smoothing where necessary.
step 15 of 15
With Vue, I positioned the camera, applied surfaces, added clouds, put additional modeled items into place, added extruded text over the entrance (used a random letter generator to produce the name Mnoavo), added 2 point lights and rendered the final image.
