use hue/saturate to change the color of the skin slightly... then mask out portions to emphasize the lighting.

add globe

take the image, and crop it so that the width is at least 3 times as long as the height. then flip the image and use image size to change the width to match the height. then use polar coordinates to create this effect. I have also done some extra cloning and other things to create the vortex pool in the center.

add the world in

mask it to fit the globe

add some additional effect layers and a light ring to give a glowing effect.

using the pen tool create a line around the globe. stroke the line, then mask out the parts that would fall behind the globe.

add some additional brushing to create a magical like trail.

add in a light at the tip of the trail to give it a source of life.

some finishing touches with some additional filters, completes the image!
