Personal photo of my neighbor's dog, Simba. She and her 'sister' stay with me when the family goes out of town, and I am proud to call her my god-dog, she's a sweet old girl. For this chop I used her legs and some of her butt.
step 2 of 8
Began by experimenting with puppet warping the first dog.
step 3 of 8
Distorted the dog.
step 4 of 8
Warped the dog. Ended up keeping the tail as shown here, but used personal photo for legs.
step 5 of 8
Cut the ear, filled in where it was, then warped it forward - rowers actually go backwards, so the ear (and anything else that's 'loose') would fly forward of him.
step 6 of 8
The ripple filter worked best for the reflection, and opacity is lowered to about 40%.
step 7 of 8
Displaced the sculler logo onto the flag.
step 8 of 8
Cloned out the original cartoon on the sign. Selected the pink logo shape and filled in with light sign color to assist in brightening the pink overlapping the blue part of the sign.
