This guide was made for entry:
Glass Orchid
In Contest:
glass objects
step 1 of 6
All the individual parts of the orchid were modelled in 3ds max using standard poly modelling techniques.
step 2 of 6
The lilac glass is a standard material in Vue, it started off a red glass but I altered the colour map to make this colour.
step 3 of 6
I used a crystal default glass for some parts of the orchid namely the stems.
step 4 of 6
The green is a standard material in Vue, but is called wine bottle glass, I just lightened it from a dark green to a lighter colour.
step 5 of 6
The scene setup from a different viewpoint.
step 6 of 6
The scene before final rendering.
