The first step in this project was to create a Blue print view in C4D this is 2 plain with reference image applied as texture.

The next step is Creating the Camera body The is done by extruding from a cube and match the camera top down profile. After which i then create the the different layer of the camera body by extruding upward along the camera front view profile.

Again I extruded from a Cube for the Prism Housing on top of the SLR. The Len Mount housing is also made the same way. I soften or rounded the edges of each part by beveling them.

I make the Camera Len by Extruding from a cylinder following the profile from the blue print reference

Next I worked on the Self Timer assembly which consisted of a few disk shaped extruded from a cylinder. The exception are the Base plate and the Arm which nurb extrusion from a spline. The two parts that are done this way is highlighted.

I then start work on each of the buttons and dials on the right hand side of camera. Each button or dial is extruded from a Cylinder. The Shutter button was vertex was moved to give it is shape

The shutter cocking arm was nurb extruded from a spline. Then I slice it with Knife tool and Extrude the face upward for the end of the cocking arm.

The pink rewind assembly base plate was made from a tweaked cylinder. The knob was and extruded cylinder. The green rewind pivot was an extruded cylinder which has been Boolean cut with a cube to create the slot in the middle

The hot shoe on top of the prism housing is just a Cube that has been sliced with a knife tool then extruded.

The Rewind swing out arm was create by extrude nurb from a spline.

The Strap holder is made by making a Ball and Boolean subtracted some cube and cylinder from it to create the shape. The Ring is circle sweep along a Helix spline.

I then use Xara to create all the graphic and texture that is needed for the Camera

I then apply the texture created in xara and crazybump to the model. Place parts that needed smoothing in to Hyper nurb Objects and adjust the edge definition. I placed camera, Light,floors and sky, Then I render out the scene,...
