eyeglass frames

Create a cube and make it thinner

Add an "Subdivision Surface" modifier on it, with "View:3 / Render:3", don't apply for now

Switch to edit-mode, an add "Loop Cut & Slide (ctrl+R)" horizontally...

Shape it like this:

Bend it a bit

Mirror the Glass...

Create a "Bezier curve" and shape it like this:

Add a "Bezier circle" and set it as "Bevel object". The circle will follow the curve which acts as a path:

Bend this one as much ass the Glass

For the details of the nose-thing, another "Bezier curve" and a long sphere will do it

For the arms, use a "Bezier curve" again, and put a long sphere for the rubber part at the end

For the materials, the glass is:
Transperency on, Raytrace, Alpha: 0.01, IOR: 2.2, Depth: 2
The plastic of the nose-thing is Transperency on, Z Transperence only
The chassis is a basic metallic material with little mirror reflection.
As light, I positioned 3 lights to get a nice reflection in the glass... just experiment around, to get an result...
