Two small sections of the birds head are removed and formed into leaves and flowers as shown here. Liquify warp, smudge tool and clone tools are used.
step 2 of 7
Photo (my own) used for background
step 3 of 7
Bird head and leaf shapes are added over the background photo.
step 4 of 7
From one of the leaf shapes, the bird's body is formed and will be blended using smudge and clone tools. Other leaf shapes are duplicated, some sized larger or smaller, some flipped and rotated to produce the look of a lot of foliage under the bird.
step 5 of 7
Flower shapes are added now, tucking them in between layers of leaves. They will be color changed, sized and rotated in an interesting pattern and allowing the bird to be the center of interest.
step 6 of 7
Some burning and dodging add more depth to background and more shapes to flowers and leaves. Centers are added to flowers using the brush tool and burn tool. More darks and highlights are added to bird.
step 7 of 7
Some burning and dodging add more depth to background and more shapes to flowers and leaves. Centers are added to flowers using the brush tool and burn tool. More darks and highlights are added to bird.
Well explained.
