Worked on the mask's surface since I wanted to give it a smoother look.

Removed the headband (or whatever you want to call it) with lots of clone tool and patience.

Distorted the mask to give it a more femenine look and added the black background.

Cropped the picture and finished retouching the texture.

Turned the image to black and white.

The black lines were made with a basic 50% hard brush, all on a layer in Linear Burn mode and about 70% transparency.

The colouring was done pretty much like I made the lines, just that this time the layer's transparency was set to 60%.

Played with light and shadows until I was satisfied with the result.
