Using the pen tool, select one half of the image beside the tear, copy and paste it into a new layer so that it can be nudged into place.

Turn the image into black and white, and check the pre-set filters to see which helps the most to get rid of the sticky tape. I used the high contrast red filter. Then using the healing brush and clone tool to remove the remaining marks from the tape.

Started painting in colours, on individual layers, using a soft brush 10-15% opacity, blending mode set to colour.

Added a warming filter, reduced the opacity. Went back and did some more cleaning up.
