Fill - BLACK
Filter - Add noise ( apx 20% / gaussain blur / monochromatic)
Image - Levels (Play around with levels till you get the effect you want)

New layer
fill - black
Filter - Render - difference clouds (black and blue)
Use soft round brush to erase all dark areas of clouds

use eraser brush set to 50% opacity and erase "too bright" areas
change layer blending mode to "screen"

shrunk the layer on the page and rotated
duplicated layer, added color overlay effect (changed mode to overlay) used red
duplicated layer again using same process, using green
rotated both duplicated layers in slightly different angles

Now we are going to create the planet.
created new document
filled in background with black
create new layer
use gradiant tool
load new set of gradiants (upper left corner) choose "noise samples"
select any gradiant and adjust colors (make sure "restrict colors" is checked)
Create full gradiant (from top to bottom - hold shift to get straight line)

Filter - distort - Ripple (adjust to preferences)
Filter - distort - wave (adjust to preferences)
Filter - liquify to create some "storms" on surface (do till satisfied)

filter - distort - sphereize at 100%
use eliptical marquee to cut out the sphereized area (ctrl J)
FX - Outer glow - change color to a selection from planet adjust attributes to preference
FX - Inner glow - change color to same color for outer glow adjust attributes to preference

ctrl click planet layer
create new layer
select - modify - feather (between 40 - 70 pxls)
fill with black (make sure you are on the new layer!)
deselect
enlarge "black" layer to make it similar in size to planet then move to create the "shaded" side of planet

Rasterize planet layer
ctrl click planet layer (KEEP SELECTION!)
merge shadow layer and planet layer.
WIth the selection still active press ctrl J
deselect

move planet into the document with our "clouds"
move planet layer below cloud layers
rotate and position planet
lower opactiy on all 3 cloud layers

Merge all 3 cloud layers and change blending mode to screen
Resize, use free transform and distort, then erase any out of place edges till satisfied with results
Add outer glow to cloud layer adjust till satisfied
Move cloud layer to behind planet
create mask on cloud layer and use variations of gray to darken shadowy areas on clouds

Highlight all layers and press ctrl + alt + shift + e (copies layers and merges them into seperate layer)
Make a selection in the upper right hand corner and select copy (do not deselect)
Create new document (make document same size as the working document)
Create new layer
Filter - Render - Fibers (apx 7 varience & 64 strength)
using the shift key erase vertical lines of varying sizes

filter - distort - twist (apx 500)
Save file as something memorable, you will be opening it again soon! (i used "wormhole")

switch back to working document
keep selection from earlier
filter - distort - displace
after clicking ok open the file you just saved (I opened "wormhole")
clean up distortion using large soft eraser
delete everything on this layer other then the wormhole

Select white around hand then select- invert selection
select - refine edge

select - inverse selection
delete background
drag hand to working document
resize and rotate till satisfied with result
create new layer above hand and right click - create clipping mask
use low opacity black and white soft brushes to create shadows and highlights

duplicate planet layer
move duplicated layer to front (top layer)
shrink down to fit in hand
image - adjustment - hue/saturation
change color of smaller planet
using a pen tool select areas around fingers that will show around small planet
create selection from pen tool
copy selection to new layer
move layer above small planet
copy clipping mask layer from hand
move the copied clipping mask layer above the copied fingers layer
right click duplicated clipping mask and clip it to copied fingers

use a low opacity black brush on both clipping masks to add shadow around small planet
use low opacity white brush on both clipping masks to add highlights around small planet
use eliptical marquee tool to make selection near rounded areas of wormhole
use clone stamp tool to extend arm within selection
merge main arm and it's clipping mask
duplicate main arm
ctrl click on wormhole layer to make selection
being sure duplicated arm is selected filter - distort - displace use same wormhole displacement map
use soft eraser to erase areas on displaced arm where wormhole appears behind arm
duplicate displaced arm a few times to create rippled wormhole effect all around arm
merge duplicated arm displacements
continue duplicating, merging, etc till you are satisfied with effect
