Placed pic in 2000 pixel square. Ready to content aware fill top and bottom.

After fill to expand borders.

Cut out pumpkins and used patch and clone tool to remove grass, etc.

Place sky background on a seperate layer and apply a gaussian blur. Apply a bevel and emboss layer style. Use a black marble texture.

Pattern used to create a new brush. I gave it an angle jitter of 2% to allow for varying placement.

Start placing squares with the new brush in a transparent layer above the background layer.

Once the all tiles are done, select them all and use fill to place them in a layer mask on the background layer.

Start making lines for grooves on pumpkins

At this point all vertical pumpkin grooves are done. I used pen tool for all vertical grooves.

Horizontal pumpkin grooves added by hand. Copy the layer style made earlier for the background to the pumpkin layer. Ready to fill (in black) the pumpkin grid lines into a mask on the pumpkin layer.

Start laying in a layer of black between the tiles.

Once all black filled in between tiles, reduce opacity of black filler.
