Background was filled with a dark color. I added a new layer set to color dodge and filled with black, and then painted on top of that layer with low opacity brush. Then the Trees were made on a new layer and with the smudge tool to pull up the structures.

Just adding new layers and painting more and more. I also reduced the opacity of the original painting to about 50%.

All the lights I make are done by adding a new black layer and setting to color dodge. Then painting on it with low opacity brush.

The hood was done by duplicating the tire source picture and then using the warp and liquify tool to get its shape

The face was made with the brake lights on the source image. To get the shape I wanted I had to use a duplicate of the same brake light at different sizes. I had to then smudge them together.
