Make the drawing transparent by selecting all the white and removing it.

Here is the part I took for the back knee.

Place every part of the dragon an put it under the drawing. afterwards you can easily take away the parts that stand out.

By selecting on the drawing you can see on the komodo-photo which parts fits the best in the end result.

When everything is placed in position we get this result after we deleted the first drawing.

By selecting my own nails I can get a bit of the shining also..
Select a pointy nail inside the nail photo... we use this for nails but also for the teeth.

After the teeth are set, we can go over the borders with a black marker to make the drawing fit with our elements

Making the panels on his back.. changed the color with hue/saturation.. use only hue do.
