choose a colour palette. Inspired by Picasso.

Fill a square with a base colour.
click on custom shape, select diagonal lines. select chosen colour to match base colour. in this case dark and light purples. draw lines to fill square.

duplicate both layers. merge.

create as many layers using different colours as in your palette.

use pen tool to cut triangles .. click top left corner. click on bottom right corner , join up at top left corner again.

make selection .. with triangle shape selected, copy and paste into new layer.. continue to create triangles and squares until you have used all your palette colours and you have a variety of squares and triangles of plain and stripped colours.

now the fun part .. arrange palette shapes on your base canvas . select each layer and use warp tool to create artistic shapes and visual lines.

cut out skull . go to IMAGE > LESS SATURATION. keep lowering until skull is a nice white shade.. select half of skull and cut. paste into new layer. enlarge and angle

CS6.. oil paint.. then add filter paint dabs.
