Cut wood background from source paste as new image, resize to a square, apply polar coordinates filter.
Duplicate the layer and blend on multiply mode.

Open rose image and turn into a line drawing to use as reference for petal shapes and leaf placement. This layer is deleted in the final image.

Cut out green leaves from source and paste in place. Darken leaves by duplicating layer and blending layers with multiply mode.

cut out red leaf from source, copy five times, warp each layer to fit into the petal shapes.

Cut another leaf from source, duplicate as needed and warp into petal shapes.

Continue cutting out leaf shapes and warping them to fit the petal shapes, some were also colorized to make them more pink. Delete the line drawing layer.

Add the woodgrain layer from step 1 and rotate it so the join line is hidden under some leaves. Add some drop shadows.

Copy merged image, paste as new layer, duplicate the merged layer, filter one with with oil paint and the other with fractalius. Blend both layers using 50% soft light mode. Add a plain border by increasing canvas size and flood filling the canvas area with chosen color. Increase canvas again and flood fill canvas area with black.
