I get what you've attempted to portray but it just comes across as too staged for me sorry.

Why do you feel it's staged? And even if it was, why is that a bad thing? It’s not. This was a shot I took a couple years ago and I just though it fit the theme perfectly; a few friends camping out in the dessert, making breakfast and just hanging out.

How does it convey solitude if there are three people?

There are two definitions for solitude. sol·i·tude (sl-td, -tyd) n. 1. The state or quality of being alone or remote from others. 2. A lonely or secluded place.

Actually you're completely wrong Jaws. I did not resize it or edit it at all. It was taken with a basic Canon Power Shot from some distance away. By the way, have you ever considered working in PR with that winning personality of yours....yeah right.
