Nice shot but the I would have not cut the legs of the duck like this.

I am not sure what you mean artifakts.....His legs aren't cut off, they are in the shaows but they can be seen ... perhaps your monitor needs calibrating

This is a very good attempt (IMHO).I have some suggestions to make tho.The border in the nose & mouth of the model is not visible (maybe you should direct the light from a different angle to have the whole border of the face).The orange line in the background is not adding to the photo & i think that you should shoot this in a vertical frame to have the whole face of the model in to the frame.Portraits look better in a vertical frame because of the shape of our face (it's "long" most of the times).It's a very good attempt...for real.Good effort ...

This is REALLY cool... but the arm along the right makes it a little hard to distinguish from the body/face
