Isn't finding a penny good luck? I do believe the contest says "Bad Luck Omens". I think a description is in order.

EDIT: like I said, a description would help. Closer crop wouldn't hurt either.

A penny dfacing down is bad luck to pick up...rule is to turn it right side up and leave it for next person.

As a numismatist (one who studies or collects coins) to help clerify Nator, this is the reverse or the back side of the coin. The obverse is the front side.

I agree with low-key photos, as they are a favorite of mine to shoot, but in this case, your lighting is a bit off as the knife on the left totally blends in with the surface and is lost. Nice try, just experiment with your lighting a bit more in the future

Oh great...seems like my first comment disappeared. Oh well, I'll hopefully be able to say again what I said before or something close enough.

So...I don't really have any lighting but only an external flash which I'm not fully able of using either. The other issue I'm having is I don't have a nice background to use either. The glass table that I used for this picture doesn't quite do it the way I'd like to.
