I have to agree with kyricom.........the pens look like they were an afterthought.
author says:
No connection? It depends on your imagination. You can sit down to write something and suddenly remember the paper boats someone made for you when you were a kid. And suddenly you wonder if you still know how to make paper boats and start making them.
And finally you remember you're an adult and that you must stop playing games and use pen and paper for their proper use.
This is what I meant to say in this shot.
By the way, believe me, it does good sometimes to get back to your childhood and play games...
Ok... I did not see anything in the rules that says there should be a connection... did I misread?
author says:
No, mperri, there's no such rule. There are other shots in the same situation. But in any case, don't worry about voting my shot: I had so much fun in preparing the scene, making the paper boats and taking the picture that I have already been highly rewarded. I awarded myself a special mention...
Mark, if it was most of us wouldn't have a clue what it eas all about.
author says:
kyricom, I have double checked the rules of the contest, there's no indication on the language to be used to write "My novel"...
jawshoewhah [banned] says:
It's not against the rules. It just makes more sense if you named the entry "Mi Novela" since I'm assuming it's in Spanish. Even I, someone who has to Google every Spanish translation could figure out that it meant My Novel.
Come on friends, is the language in which I added something really so important? I didn't mean to offend anybody's linguistic talent, believe me!
Kyricom? you are one of the most ironic participants, I was just joking on the contests' rules that sometimes make me smile...
OK everybody, I promise I'll be serious!
(... just a little smile sometimes? please? ...no? )
I have absolutely no problem with the language... I only looked at it because Jaw's comment made the cat very curious!lol
But, now, tell us, Italian, right?
Nice colors and composition, but there doesn't seem to be any connection between the pens and the papers. Just kind of put there to meet the theme.

Author... I only read the comments after voting! My vote was already cast and I liked it! I was actually questioning the criticism!!!
