Wonderful colors but slightly out OFF(out of focus).

Well...as i see you have a very good camera author.
Focusing on glass is very hard (the older ones,people from pxlshots,might remember a contest called "mirrored mirrors" where most of the entry's where slightly OOF)
If you used auto focus for this shoots then you must reconsider....
Your camera has manual focus so you must try it & i think that you see a big difference.

As I'm away from home, I have to work with a very old, grossly outmoded laptop, therefore maybe a good part of the general picture goes unnoticed. Actually - i think the foreground is dark brown and the background is black

I think it works, the subject is good...background is nearly all black...I'm certain if the author could, they would make a slight levels adjustment that would clear it right up

These are marshmallow peeps...a sort of candy treat that's available at Easter...I had to have back-up's as I kept eating my props!
